Flooding and drought are “extreme event” changes to natural systems caused by global warming; climate scientists warn of the likelihood of their increasing intensity and frequency. The Deluge series takes as its starting point the biblical myth of The Flood in order to explore the relationship between the human subject and the natural world.

Dissolution references a dream of near-drowning and the tender support between two sisters,  the gesture of love a counterforce in an otherwise terrifying underworld realm.
